Samsung had introduced a 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 Chipset last month. This chipset comes with dual gain conversion technology. Soon after this, reports started coming that the company can use this chipset in its upcoming Note Series smartphone. However, some recent reports suggest that Xiaomi is working towards using this 68MP chipset in its upcoming Redmi phone.
Besides, Ice Universe, a tipster on Weibo reported that Samsung could possibly implement the 64MP sensor in its upcoming A-series smartphone. However, there is no clarity on which phone it would be.
There have been rumors previously that the company could introduce the Samsung Galaxy A70 smartphone with the 68MP sensor. But, the smartphone featured a 32MP sensor, when it was launched.
Meanwhile, the 64MP sensor helps you record Full HD videos at a speed of 480 frames per second. Moreover, the sensor provides the highest resolution in Samsung’s 0.8µm series lineup. The sensor features real time HDR capable of 100dB.
The Pixel Merging Tetracell Technology and Remosaic Algorithm helps you capture 16MP photos in low light and 64MP photos in bright light. The company will start the mass production of the 64MP sensor from next month. While, we can expect smartphones featuring this sensor, by the end of the year.
