The Redmi K20 series is soon going to make its way to Indian markets. And, the company is promoting the upcoming Redmi K20 Pro smartphone as a strong competitor to the OnePlus 7 Pro, and even faster than the latter. Meanwhile, the banners on roads and the teaser images on Twitter has created a lot of hype among the customers. Xiaomi is all set to introduce the smartphone to the Indian market in the coming weeks. And, yet again, Xiaomi CEO has teased the smartphone as the phone with highest AnTuTu benchmark scores.
The Redmi K20 Pro has scored a massive 388,803 points in the AnTuTu benchmarks. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi India Head, Manu Kumar Jain claims the handset to be the “World’s Fastest Phone”. On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 Pro just managed to get 369,873 points on the AnTuTu, with the 12GB variant. A Tweet from Manu’s official Twitter handle read:
It’s time for K-BOOM!👊— Manu Kumar Jain (@manukumarjain) June 17, 2019
Which is the World’s Fastest Smartphone? #RedmiK20Pro of course! @Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, triple cameras, and so much more. This is what a flagship should be. Can’t wait to launch it in India soon! 😍

The AnTuTu scores are just synthetic banchmarks and reveal very less how good a phone will be in day-to-day usage. However, there still is a certain part of community that definitely cares about these scores. And Xiaomi’s strategy is apparent. The company wants the customers to know that there is a device at half the price, which certainly is at par with the OnePlus 7 Pro.
We believe the company to officially launch the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro in India at around July 15. To recall, the device comes with a 6.39-inch bezel less Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Pro sports the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, and runs on Android v9.0 Pie out-of-box. Further, you get a triple-camera setup at the rear of the device. It consists of a 48MP primary camera assisted by a 13MP ultra wide lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. Whereas, a 20MP popup selfie camera enables you to take selfies. Also, a 4000mAh battery powers the device with support for a 27W Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+ via a USB type-C port.
Lastly, the phone is launched in 4 storage options. These include a 6GB RAM+64GB storage option, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and a 8GB+256GB option. We will have to wait for the launch to see if the company launches all these 4 variants in India or not. Meanwhile, the device has already been launched in China and the prices are:
- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage – 2,599 YUAN (~Rs 25,000)
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – 2,699 YUAN (~Rs 26,000)
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – 2,799 YUAN (~Rs 28,000)
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – 2,999 YUAN (~Rs 30,000)
