WhatsApp is one of the most popular app with over 1.5 billion people using the service. The reason being its availability to almost every platform; from iOS to Android and Windows.
New features make up to the app every other day. Recently, there is a news that WhatsApp is working on a new update which would enable blocking of chat screenshots.
There was a report from WABetaInfo last month, which confirmed that WhatsApp is working on a new update. This update would enable Fingerprint Authentication in the app. Now, a fresh report from WABetaInfo suggests that the developers are working on a new feature which, if enabled, would keep users from taking chat screenshots.
This, in simple words means that if you enable the fingerprint authentication feature in your device, you would be unable to take screenshots of your chats. However, the user on the other side of the chat would still be able capture screenshot of the chat. This comes rather a surprise for many users. Many users have shown their discontent through Twitter regarding the new feature.
In addition to this, Whatsapp has brought another update to the Doodle UI of the app. Now, you will be able to able to see two separate tabs for stickers and emojis. This comes in handy while sending a media file to a contact or while posting a status. Whereas earlier, both stickers and emojis were present under a single tab which made things a little disorderly.
While the doodle UI feature can already be seen in the Android version 2.19.106 of WhatsApp Beta. The fingerprint authentication feature has not been made available yet, but is expected to be rolled out soon.
