LG to soon launch affordable W-series smartphones in India

The W-series lineup of smartphones from LG have been making rounds on the internet for a while. The company has made it clear that the upcoming W-series phones will be launched in India in the affordable price segment. This certainly could prove to be a tough competition to the existing Redmi, Realme and Samsung M-series smartphones. Meanwhile, the company has teased the upcoming W-series of smartphones several times. And, now LG is all set to officially launch the W-series smartphones in India. However recently, the first image of the upcoming smartphone was leaked on the internet, well before its official announcement.


An image of the rear panel of the upcoming W-series smartphone from LG is making rounds on the internet. Talking about the physical appearance of the phone, it certainly offers some stunning aesthetics. In addition, it consists of a vertically placed triple-camera setup at the rear, with red circular rings around the last camera. Further, the device has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The bottom of the device showcases the LG brand logo.

We also have some hardware specifications of the upcoming LG smartphone. The device will apparently sport the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC chipset, and will run on Android Pie OS. Tipster Ishan Agarwal first reported these specs on his official Twitter handle.

While, the company has itself revealed a lot of specifications about the device which will be Amazon exclusive. The smartphone will feature 5 camera modes – normal mode, front camera selfie, night, portrait, bokeh and wide angle shot. User will also get an option to turn the notch off on the device, as well as change it to a U-shaped and V-shaped notch as per the requirement.

The device surely looks quite interesting in the leaked images and specifications. It will be worth seeing at what price tag, the company launches the smartphone.
