The Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer, Asus recently launched its flagship device, the Zenfone 6, in Spain. Eventually, the company announced the launch date of the device in India as well. Asus will introduce the smartphone in India on June 19. Moreover, the device will be a Flipkart exclusive. Flipkart, on its website, recently teased a picture of the upcoming smartphone from Asus.
Meanwhile, the media invites sent for the launch of the device, suggest that the device could launch in India by the name Asus 6Z. Apparently, this move comes after an interim order which the Delhi High Court recently passed. The Court has directed the company to remove the “Zen” or “Zenfone” branding from all of their future devices.

Meanwhile, the Asus Zenfone and the Asus 6Z are the exact same devices; the only difference being their names. The smartphone comes with a 6.46-inch nano-edge IPS LCD display, protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top. Further, it sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with the Adreno 640 GPU.

Asus launched the phone in Spain in 3 variants, which includes the 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options. Meanwhile, the camera is the main highlight of the device. It offers a 48MP+13MP dual-camera setup at the rear. While, the same camera flips over in a blink of an eye and enables the user to take a selfie in the same high resolution. The smartphone is available for purchase in Spain at a starting price of €499 (~Rs 39,000). However, we can expect the company to launch the phone in India at a starting price of Rs 36,000.
