Asus launched its newest smartphone, the Zenfone 6, a few days back at a launch event held in Spain. This smartphone is a flagship device from Asus. Meanwhile, Asus completed 30 years of the company’s establishment in the year 1989. Hence, to mark this day, Asus launched a bunch of special edition devices.
One such device which Asus launched, is the new Zenfone 6 limited edition phone. The company calls it, the ASUS ZENFONE 6 EDITION 30. As it is a special edition, it certainly will have some additional features compared to the regular Zenfone 6. So here, we look at the detailed specifications of the special edition offering from Asus.
Starting with the physical aspects of the device. The Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 comes with completely different aesthetics. Unlike the regular version of the device, the special edition is available only in Matte black color. It features a glass back panel which mentions “Edition 30”, written on top of it. Talking about the uniqueness of the device, only 3,000 units of the device are available for purchase. In addition, Asus gives a 30 months extended warranty with the device, which makes this device even more special.
Asus gives you a 6.40-inch display which is almost bezel-less. It is a FHD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect-ratio. Besides, it comes with a Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top.
Coming to the performance part, the Asus Zenfone 6 sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. In addition, it comes with 12GB of RAM + 512GB of storage in the top most variant. While, the regular model of the device is limited to 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage.
Asus gives a similar camera setup in the special edition of the device which is seen on the regular Zenfone 6 model. We get a dual-camera setup at the rear which flips over to enable you to take high resolution selfies. With a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture), it has a 13MP wide angle lens having a 125-degree field-of-view. Battery and Charging
Asus Zenfone 6 Edition 30 packs in a massive 5,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery to keep the device powered up. In addition, it supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 via a USB type-C port.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor at the rear, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It supports dual SIM with dual VoLTE at 4G connection. Additionally, you get an option to expand the storage to upto 2TB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot.
There is no wording on the availability and pricing of the device as of yet. However, being a special edition phone, and given such high specifications, we can expect it to be priced at around Rs 85,000 in India.
