Redmi K20, K20 Pro to launch in India by mid July, confirms Xiaomi

The head of Xiaomi India, has confirmed the launch of Redmi K20 and K20 Pro in India. Additionally, a Twitter handle by the name TechAuntyji also posted a similar tweet. According to the tweet, these two smartphones will be rebranded by the name Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro.

Manu Kumar Jain yesterday confirmed the news that the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will be released in India in another 6 weeks. This means that consequently Xiaomi can launch these devices around the mid of July. Moreover, some billboards are also seen promoting the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro by the same branding in India. Therefore, these devices will not be rebranded Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has placed the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro billboards next to the ones of the OnePlus 7 Pro. This is straight away a challenge for OnePlus.

Talking about specifications of these devices, they feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. Besides, they come with a triple-camera system at the rear.

The Redmi K20 sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC. Whereas, the Redmi K20 Pro runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Both these smartphones provide an in-display fingerprint sensor, a pop-up selfie camera and a 4,000 mAh battery.

Finally, it would be worth seeing at what prices Xiaomi introduces these phones in India. And, it will be interesting to see, how these devices compare against the recently released OnePlus 7 series smartphones.
