Xiaomi officially launched its first flagship devices, the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, in China this week. Just after, the release of these devices in China, reports started coming that these phones will be released in India with the branding Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro. However, such rumours were already in circulation in the past, which we have already covered through our reports.
A Twitter handle with the name Tech Auntyji posted a similar report. It mentions that the Redmi K20, which comes with the Snapdragon 730 SoC, can be launched in India with the name Poco F2. Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Pro, which comes with the Snapdragon 855, can be launched in India with the name Poco F2 Pro. Besides, it also says that the pricing of the devices will be kept competitive for the Indian market.
And almost certain, darlings. The Redmi K20 is indeed likely to be the Poco F2. The SD 855 edition is likely to be called F2 Pro and the SD730 just F2. And the prices will be astonishing!— Tech Auntyji (@techauntyji) May 29, 2019
Similarly, we spotted the Chinese Regulatory Authority TENAA with a leak showing a variant of the Redmi K20 Pro. This variant of the phone features a 12GB RAM.
These smartphones come with a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The Redmi K20 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC. Whereas, the Redmi K20 Pro sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Additionally, you get 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM variants that come along with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of internal storage.
We can expect Xiaomi to officially launch these devices in India in the month of June. There is no clarity on the pricing of the device, but looking at the past history of the company, we can expect these to be priced around the range of Rs 25,000.
