Motorola is an America based smartphone manufacturing company, well known for its uniquely designed and customizable smartphones. A phone from Motorola has been in leaks quite for sometime now. Finally, the company has officially launched the rumored smartphone, which it calls the Moto Z4.
The device surely packs in lot of features. Let us see what Motorola has to offer this time.
Firstly, starting with the physical aspects of the device. The Moto Z4 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ display. Moreover, it has an OLED display and supports a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
Further, the front of the phone features a water-drop style notch which houses the front camera. Besides, it comes with a Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The rear panel of the device is coated with a P2i nano-coating which makes the phone splash proof. Furthermore, the Moto Z4 is built with the 6000 series polished aluminum frame. The device is available in 2 color variants, which are the Frost White and the Flash Grey.
Hardware and Software
Coming to the performance part, the device sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC clocked at 2 GHz. In addition, it comes with 4GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, and coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. The device is running on Android v9.0 Pie. Motorola promises to rollout the Android Oreo update in the future.
The Moto Z4 features a single camera setup at the rear. It comes with a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7. It uses the pixel-binning technology to capture some great shots, like a few recent mid range phones in the market. The front has a 25MP selfie shooter (f/2.0 aperture) for capturing great selfies. In addition, the camera comes enabled with an AI mode.
Battery and Charging
The smartphone packs in a 3,600 mAh Li-Polymer battery to keep the device powered up. Motorola claims that the battery will last last you for 2 days under normal usage. Additionally, it supports turbo charging via a USB type-C port. Motorola provides a 15W charger in the box.
Other features of the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Also, the Moto Z4 supports the Moto Mods. It can carry dual SIM cards with dual VoLTE at 4G connection. Additionally, you get an option to expand the storage to upto 2TB via a hybrid micro-SD card slot.
Pricing and Availability
Motorola launched this phone in the US at a price of $499.99 (~Rs 34,900) for the 4GB + 128GB variant. Units of the device are already available for pre-orders and the company will start shipping the device from 6 June.
There is no announcement from Motorola on the release of the phone in India. But looking at the past history, we can expect the company to launch the Moto Z4 in India by the end of June.
